Mallock Cottage is approached from 20mm gravelled parking for a maximum 2 average sized cars in tandem. Additional parking may be available on request.
There is a gravelled path c. 90cm wide for c.10m to the front door and one step up to the entrance.
The kitchen, lounge and conservatory are on one level with 13 normal stairs up to the first floor bedrooms, also on one level. Access to the outside decked area is from the main bedroom or via the lounge door/gravel path/multiple steps up.
Door openings are nominal 730 mm wide. The ensuite has a step up to the shower enclosure while the private bathroom has a p shaped standard bath with a shower over.
The king sized bed is 5’ wide x 6’6” long without a foot board; the twin beds are 3’ wide x 6’3” long with a foot board.
Magnolia House 1&2 are also approached from 20mm gravelled parking for 1 car per cottage. Magnolia 1 has a gravelled walk to the front door with 2 steps up; while Magnolia 2 has a paved walk to the front door and 2 steps up. The lounge area and kitchen are on one level with 17 stairs up to the bedroom. Magnolia 1 has a dog leg stair while Magnolia 2 is straight.
Door openings are nominal 800mm wide. The en-suite in Magnolia 1 has a low step to the shower enclosure while the bath in Magnolia 2 has a 200mm step up and has a shower over.
The king sized bed in Magnolia 1 is 5’ wide x 6’6” long with a foot board; the four poster bed in Magnolia 2 is a standard double width (4’ 6”) but with a length of 6’6” and a foot board.
All units are furnished with domestic quality furniture suitable for expected everyday use but may be unsuitable for very large guests.
It is advised that this property is unsuitable for wheel chairs and those with severe walking difficulties who may find gravel and stairs a problem.
The village is served by a bus service (number 62) that takes concessionary passes and runs
during the day, Monday to Friday to/from Torquay harbour area.
It is a level half mile/1 km walk to the sea at Livermead Beach on gravel/boardwalk and a level 200m walk on the road to the village centre. There is street lighting at night.
Taxis are plentiful and cost c.£8 to/from Torquay harbour or c. £6 from the station
